My work is not about one specific thing or subject. I paint and draw anything that excites me. If it makes people feel good, then that is what it is all about. In my drawings and paintings I prefer subjects that have a strong light source and deep shadows because that brings my artwork to life.
I am influenced by artists that are really good because they inspire me to work harder. I feel passionate about doing my best possible work.
When using acrylics my techniques include airbrushing, dry brushing, wet into wet, building up color. When I use oil, I work wet into wet, softening the edges, using impost for highlights.
I would like to complete my education at an art school like CalArts. I hope to make a living illustrating children’s books. I would like to be creating art for the rest of my life.
